A few years ago I was chief technical advisor for the Prefect of Loja, at the time I had all the research technical information the of http://www.HCPL.gov.ec One of the items that caught my attention the most was that no where else in the world winds ran constant 24 hours a day; this by itself justifies a major wind park in Loja over any other place in the world. Loja has constant winds 24 hours a day, two points here, 24 hours and constant none burst. This phenomena is due to the location of Ecuador in the Equator, mountain and ideal distance from ocean. Wind parks in Loja could easily be in the 1GW range. Loja can transport over 100MW, the rest would be use to generate hydrogen fuel, creating a hydrogen based economy.
